Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you use the Hang app or website and when you buy framed prints from us. Please read them before placing an order. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

2. Our products

We sell made-to-order framed prints and gallery walls produced from photos you upload. Every item is printed and framed for you after you order it. Colours on screen are a guide: the printed result can differ slightly depending on your device display and the printing process. Frame and mount colours shown in the app are close representations of the physical materials.

3. Ordering and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order and is processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm the order by email. If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because of a pricing error or a problem with your images, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.

Promotional codes apply as described at checkout, cannot be exchanged for cash and may be limited in number of uses or time.

4. Made-to-order goods and cancellation

Because every print is personalised with your photos, the usual 14 day right to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to our products (they are made to your specification and clearly personalised).

You can use our Order status page to check whether an order can still be cancelled. Cancellation is available while the Cancel order action is shown, normally for about the first hour after payment and until the order is released for production. Order status is the source of truth. A successful cancellation starts a full refund automatically. The time it takes for the refund to appear depends on your bank or payment provider.

Orders cannot be edited after payment, including their photos, crop, arrangement, frame, mount, size or delivery address. If you notice a mistake while cancellation is available, you must cancel the order and place a new one. Once the Cancel order action is no longer shown, the order cannot be changed or cancelled.

5. Faulty or damaged goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 our products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If your order arrives damaged, or something is wrong with it, email [email protected] with your order number and photos of the product and packaging. We will review the issue and explain the next steps. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

6. Delivery

We currently deliver to UK addresses only using standard delivery. Orders usually arrive 5–7 working days after they are released for production, which normally happens about one hour after payment. This is an estimate rather than a guarantee. We will email you when your order is on its way, including tracking details where available.

Please check your delivery address carefully before paying. It cannot be edited after payment. While the Cancel order action is shown on the Order status page, you can cancel and place a new order with the correct address. Once the action is no longer shown, the order cannot be redirected or changed. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by an incorrect address supplied by you.

7. Your photos and intellectual property

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. By placing an order you give us a licence to store, process and print your photos, and to share them with our print partner, solely to produce and deliver your order and to provide customer support.

You promise that you own the photos you upload or have permission to use them, and that printing them will not infringe anyone else's rights. The Hang app, website, designs and branding belong to Hang Photos Ltd and may not be copied or reused without our permission.

8. Acceptable use

You must not upload images that are unlawful, that infringe someone else's rights, or that contain abusive content or content involving the exploitation of children. We may refuse or cancel any order that we reasonably believe breaks this rule and will report unlawful content to the relevant authorities where required.

9. Our liability

If we break these terms we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that breach. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, or for business losses: our products are for personal use.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
